STATE HISTORIC PRESERVATION OFFICES

The state historic preservation offices are dedicated to the preservation of the archeological, architectural, and cultural heritage of their respective states. This includes Route 66 historic properties. Preservation assistance is provided to federal, state, and local governments; local historical societies; other non-profit organizations; private property owners; and any interested organization, firm, or individual. They are valuable contacts within your state to assist with preservation questions and initiatives.
