National Historic Landmarks Program

The National Historic Landmarks program will periodically offer webinars on specific topics related to the NHL process. Anyone is welcome to attend. Please register online. If you encounter difficulties with the pdf version, please fill out the Word version. Once you've filled out the registration form submit it via e-mail. You will receive an e-mail confirming your registration once it has been submitted. You will receive a follow-up e-mail with detailed instructions the day before the scheduled session.

The National Historic Landmarks Program maintains a list of consultants who have taken a recommended series of webinars. To be placed on this list consultants must have taken the following:

Writing Section 8 (Criterion 1 and 2; or Criterion 4, or Criterion 6)

Writing Section 7

Nuts and Bolts

National Register or National Historic Landmark?: Determining National Significance

Finding the Right Person to Write Your NHL Nomination

Consultants must have also completed at least one of the following webinars:
Understanding Cultural Landscapes
Preparing for the Landmarks Committee Meeting
Writing Section 8 (2 sessions)
