Block Island South East Light, RI: Built in 1874, South East Light is outstanding as one of the finest lighthouses constructed by the U.S. Light House Board in the nineteenth century. The station has served as a primary aid to navigation since it was first lit and today is one of the last 12 lighthouses in the country still equipped with a lighted first-order Fresnel lens.
