- National Hispanic Heritage Month (2009)
- The 2009 Presidential Inauguration will bring countless visitors to the nation's capitol, and with that, opportunities to explore the history of the city. The National Register of Historic Places has compiled an Inauguration Feature which highlights numerous National Historic Landmarks. Twenty NHLs of particular note have been chosen throughout the city to entice visitors to explore beyond the monuments.
