31. Archeological Investigations on Marsland Road,
Agate Fossil Beds National Monument, Sioux County, Nebraska.

Two prehistoric archeological sites along Marsland Road in Sioux County,
Nebraska, were excavated in advance of a construction project that will
disturb portions of both sites. At one site, 25SX486, a prehistoric hearth
feature was completely excavated. At the other site, 25SX157, a portion of
the impact area was excavated. An opportunity arose to examine 25SX163,
and a large surface collection was made there during the construction of
the Visitor Center. The data from 25SX163 are appended to this report.
