In addition to conducting compliance surveys for the Beaver Basin Rim Road project and several construction projects within the lakeshore, test excavation was undertaken at two sites to determine their potential for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places. This report details the excavation at the Hurricane River (20AR224) and Miner's Beach (20AR13) sites, and describes surface collections from additional prehistoric and historic sites within the Lakeshore. The cultural and chronological implications of these finds are placed within the broader perspective of the Upper Great Lakes region.
