Pea Ridge National Military Park, January 31, 2007
This was the first phase of fieldwork and the initial
step in starting the JFSP experimental burn project.
MWAC Archeologist Jay Sturdevant visited the park to
set up the six experimental plots in advance of a prescribed
burn. Fighting snow and cold temperatures, Kevin Eads
and the intrepid resources staff assisted with the setup
of the plots in two separate fuel types within the park.
Burning is tentatively scheduled for March 2007.
