|Sir John Napier, Napier of Marchiston
Sir John Napier was the famous inventor of logarithms. The original was presented to General Washington by the Earl of Buchan. It was at Mount Vernon and later at Arlington. This print is part of the “Washington Treasury” that G.W.P. Custis assembled and stored at Arlington.
