New Grant Payment System
As part of its transition to the Financial and Business Management System (FBMS) the National Park Service will be using a new grants payment system, the Automated Standard Application for Payments (ASAP). For more information including enrollment forms visit the ABPP ASAP web page.
Grants
The ABPP awards two separate grants:
- Battlefield Planning Grants are awarded annually to groups, institutions, organizations, or governments sponsoring preservation projects at historic battlefields. Any battlefield on American soil is eligible for this grant.
- Civil War Battlefield Land Acquisition Grants are awarded to state and local governments seeking fee simple acquisition of eligible Civil War battlefield land, or for the acquisition of permanent, protective interests (easements) in Civil War battlefield land. Only Civil War battlefields listed in the Civil War Sites Advisory Commission's (CWSAC) 1993 Report on the Nation's Civil War Battlefields are eligible for this grant.
