(Battlefield Planning Grants)
The ABPP is committed to working closely with its grantees to produce the best possible battlefield preservation projects and results. Each Battlefield Planning Grant requires three equally important but quite different efforts:

Grant Agreement Package: forms to begin the Battlefield Planning Grant process - request Federal assistance, authorize payment, etc.,

Grant Management: forms to manage the Battlefield Planning Grant process - accounting, reporting, scheduling, etc., and

Project Management: guidlines and standards for working with consultants, preparing for and carrying out Battlefield Planning Grant project work, preparing technical reports, etc.

ABPP Program Policies
As a general program policy, the ABPP adheres to the Historic Preservation Fund Grants Manual.

The ABPP encourages fair and open competition for vendors and consultants (see OMB circulars A-110, A-122, A-133 and 43 CFR 12)

During the life of the Battlefield Planning Grant, from initial application to close-out no personal, financial, or draft information will be released. The relationship between the grantee and the ABPP is considered a privileged partnership. Proprietary and private identification information is safeguarded until project completion. After project completion, release of information is governed by the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). For more information visit the the National Park Service's FOIA website.
